Post Traumatic Stress
Post traumatic stress can occur as a result of any traumatic incident. That can be anything that is out of the ordinary or deeply distressing to someone such as an accident, a fire or witnessing a traumatic event such as a death. It can also be large scale such as major disasters.
Common reactions to such events include:
- Re-living the trauma in your mind
- Avoiding things associated with the trauma.
- Feeling more tense, irritable or over-alert than usual.
- Feeling depressed.
