This section is for young people who are worried about their mental health. It also provides advice for parents and adults who may be worried about a young person.
Many young people go through a range of thoughts, feelings and experiences in their lives that can sometimes be difficult to manage. This could be the death of someone close, arguments with friends or sitting exams. Most young people manage this with the help of friends, family and others. However, sometimes problems can be too difficult to manage and additional help from a GP, school Nurse or counsellor or other health professional may be required.
The thing to remember is that mental health problems are really common among young people and nothing to be ashamed of. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.
This section will give you some more information about maybe why you feel the way you do and what can be done to help. It also provides useful links to information and websites and leaflets that could help.
